NEW IATA/UFTAA INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL AND TOURISM
TRAINING PROGRAMME
The new IATA/UFTAA International Travel UFTAA
Tourism Training Programme uses a building block
approach to facilitate learning and improve skills
through a series of Modules.
Each of the four career-path levels are organized
into 5 subject-matter themes:
- Travel Environment
- Products
- Support Services
- Fares and Ticketing
- Strategy and Management
The following provides a brief summary of each of
these modules.
The various Themes are presented in appropriate
mixes throughout the levels For example, in the
Foundation Level, the emphasis is on ‘Product’,
whereas in Senior Management, the emphasis has
shifted to ‘Strategy and Management’ modules. The
‘Support Services’ theme runs throughout the entire
career path and is emphasized in the Management
course, where the learner will develop the skills to
successfully run a branch or division.
In each course, all
Modules
of the same theme are bound together. For example,
Air, Land, Water and Tour products are bound into a
‘Product’ book, whereas, Selling Skills, Accounting,
Legal and Technology are bound in a ‘Support
Services’ book.
New and significantly upgraded inserts in the
package include valuable training versions of the
brand new Passenger Air Tariff (PAT), Thomas Cook’s
European and Overseas Rail Timetables, and the
student’s own copy of a full edition TIM.
No other Travel and Tourism training programme comes
close to matching the depth of the training and
reference materials supplied in our kits!
